Here is a sneak preview of what you can expect from your dream holiday at Alphonse Island! This itinerary is simply here to inspire; you can choose what you would like to do and when.
Upon arrival you will be welcomed by the Alphonse Island management team, followed by check-in and a comprehensive briefing whilst your luggage is transferred to your Beach Bungalow. Freshen up before relaxing around the pool or at the ‘Le Lys’ bar.
Spend your morning exploring the island by bicycle or on foot. In the afternoon you will have a casting lesson from one of our world-class fishing guides, followed by a few fun hours targeting Bonefish, Triggers, Permit, GT’s and Milkfish. Careful, it’s addictive!
PADI Discover SCUBA Diving (DSD) teaches you the very basics to make sure that you can dive safely without having to take the full course. A DSD on Alphonse is like few others, because you will be diving on world-class sites within the 12m maximum depth range. The afternoon can be enjoyed at leisure.
Join the Activities Team for a Signature Blue Safari. Alphonse Island is host to a large pod of Spinner Dolphins year-round, and seeing them frolic around you is truly magical! During this trip you may also spot Manta Rays, tuna, mating turtles and many other marine species. Whilst exploring the offshore waters don’t forget to look to the skies for interesting seabirds not easily seen elsewhere. The rest of the day can be spent snorkelling, before meeting for drinks and canapés at our Sunset Beach Bar.
Today you are in for a special treat! Join our staff and all our guests as you are transported to a sandbank about 20 minutes from Alphonse Island. This is where we serve our speciality flats lunch! Enjoy a swim and some ice cold drinks whilst lunch is prepared on the spot.
Spend some time with the Conservation Team, learning more about the turtles and giant Aldabra Tortoises. This is followed by a half day bluewater fishing excursion where you will have the thrill of reeling in tuna, Wahoo and maybe even a Sailfish! All fishing is catch-and-release.
Why not end off your island holiday with a 60 minute massage in Azure Spa? The rest of the day can be spent cycling, swimming, tanning, kayaking or stand-up paddleboarding between the turtles.
Enjoy the last moments of your trip with a leisurely breakfast before preparing for departure back to Mahé. Depending on the time of your scheduled flight, you could revisit an activity that you particularly enjoyed, one last time.
The pricing for this itinerary is based on a per person rate for 2 people sharing a Beach Bungalow. A single supplement would apply for single occupancy or an upgrade fee for a stay in a Beach Villa. All activities mentioned in this itinerary are included in the cost.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner is included and prepared with fresh ingredients. Inspiration is drawn from the island and the ocean, and produce is picked fresh from our vegetable garden.
Return flights to Alphonse Island from Mahé are operated on Saturdays, with additional flights on Mondays and Thursdays from mid-November to mid-April.

A bicycle is assigned to each guest for the duration of their stay, to allow for full exploration of the island.

Conservation activities with the Island Conservation Society are conducted at no cost, with only a donation requested.
Fly Fishing rod and reel rental is offered free of charge. Flies and fly line can be purchased from our well-stocked tackle shop or you can bring your own. Rod breakages will be charged accordingly.
Complimentary soft drinks are provided during all scheduled communal activities.
Complimentary activities are offered around Alphonse Island such as a Cycle and Smoothie Tour and the Reef Flats Expedition.
