Over and above offering world-class saltwater fly fishing, Alphonse Island has plenty to offer your partner, spouse or family if they wish to join. Nonetheless, YOU are here for the fishing, and the fisheries around Alphonse Island and St. François Atoll are sure to not disappoint!
Considered one of the most prolific Bonefisheries in the world, you would also be able to target Milkfish, Giant Trevally, three different species of Triggerfish, Bluefin Trevally and Indo-Pacific Permit, to name but a few.

You will be met upon arrival by the Alphonse Island management team. After check-in and a comprehensive briefing, tackle setup and fishing orientation will commence. Once all have been rigged up you can fish on the Alphonse flats or relax around the 'Le Lys’ bar.
Anglers will meet at the fishing office at 07h00 for the 40 minute crossing to the St. François Lagoon where the skiffs are kept. Once teams have been transferred to their skiff, they start their 8 hour fishing session. One guide and skiff is shared between two anglers.
Breakfast will be served from 07h00 onwards. Afterwards, luggage will be collected whilst you settle your bills and gratuities before the hour long flight back to Mahé. We hope to welcome you back soon!
The pricing for this Itinerary is based on a per person rate for one angler in a Beach Bungalow. An upgrade fee would apply for a stay in a Beach Villa. All activities mentioned in this Itinerary are included in the cost.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner is included and prepared with fresh ingredients. Inspiration is drawn from the island and the ocean, and produce is picked fresh from our vegetable garden.
Return flights to Alphonse Island from Mahé are operated on Saturdays, with additional flights on Mondays and Thursdays from mid-November to mid-April.
Six Days fully guided fly fishing, with 2 anglers per skiff and guide. Single skiffs are available at a supplement.

A bicycle is assigned to each guest for the duration of their stay, to allow for full exploration of the island.
Complimentary Tea and Coffee during meals. Using delicious 100% Arabic and African coffee beans in our new Astoria coffee machine, coffee has never tasted so good! A wide selection of tea also available.
Complimentary Wi-Fi is provided in the bar and restaurant area.
Set against the backdrop of palm jungle, the floodlit tennis court can be used into the early evening.
Each week, guests are offered a few luxuries that Alphonse Island has become renowned for such as Sundowners on the Beach and Flats Lunch.
Conservation activities with the Island Conservation Society are conducted at no cost, with only a donation requested.
Fly Fishing rod and reel rental is offered free of charge. Flies and fly line can be purchased from our well-stocked tackle shop or you can bring your own. Rod breakages will be charged accordingly.
Complimentary soft drinks are provided during all scheduled communal activities.
Complimentary activities are offered around Alphonse Island such as a Cycle and Smoothie Tour and the Reef Flats Expedition.
