Cosmoledo Atoll has certainly become one of the most sought-after saltwater fly fishing destinations in the world in recent years, and that is in no small part due to the fact that it has become known as the GT Capital of the World.
Once you have made the journey to this remote atoll, you will find a huge variety of other species to also target on the fly and which will certainly keep you busy until you hook your monster GT!
Once you have reached this remote and exclusive atoll, you will find a unique and wondrous paradise teeming with various species to target on the fly.
After a three hour-flight from Mahé, including a stop to refuel at Alphonse Island, you arrive on Astove Atoll. You are then transferred to the transfer vessel which will take you to Cosmoledo Atoll. You will arrive and be welcomed to Cosmoledo Atoll one hour and thirty minutes later.
Breakfast is served at 07h00, and anglers have to be ready to leave the lodge at 08h00 for a full day of guided fishing. One guide and skiff is shared between two anglers, and anglers have a choice between a packed lunch or lunch at the lodge. At 17h00 your team will head back to the camp.
You will be transferred to Astove by the transfer vessel. Here you will meet the Astove team who will then transfer you to the airport. The charter flight will depart, divert to Alphonse Island to refuel and stretch your legs, before landing at the IDC Hangar in Mahé three hours later.
The pricing for this itinerary is based on a per person rate for two anglers sharing an Eco Pod.. A supplement will apply for single accommodation. A single skiff and private guide is also available at a supplement.All activities mentioned in this itinerary are included in the cost.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner is included and prepared with fresh ingredients. Inspiration is drawn from the island and the ocean, and produce is picked fresh from our vegetable garden.
Return flights to Astove Atoll from Mahé are operated on Mondays and takes 3 hours in total. This is paired with a boat transfer of 1 ½ hours between Astove Atoll and Cosmoledo Atoll.
Non-motorised Water Sports include:
Six Days fully guided fly fishing, with 2 anglers per skiff and guide. Single skiffs are available at a supplement.
Coffee and a selection of tea is available at meals, as well as desalinated drinking water and various soft drinks.
Complimentary Wi-Fi is provided in the dining tent.
Each week, guests are offered Sundowners on the Beach, served with a selection of scrumptious canapés, once during their stay.
Fly Fishing rod and reel rental is offered free of charge. Flies and fly line can be purchased from our well-stocked tackle shop or you can bring your own. Rod breakages will be charged accordingly.
Two bottles of house wine (one red and one white) is served on a complimentary basis during dinner.
A complimentary laundry service is offered to guests during their stay.
