Experience a Sunrise Diving Adventure

Sunrise Scuba Diving

The Outer Islands of the Seychelles gives way to a plethora of exciting and inspiring activities that will quite simply take your breath away.

Our experiences can be enjoyed by oneself or in groups and at almost any time of the day. And although we encourage our guests to spend their time as they see fit, we sometimes have a particular favourite activity or time of day that might just give it that little something extra.

There is something special about waking up and boarding a boat whilst the sun is still down. Looking back to the shore and seeing the first few birds taking flight for the day gives you a great feeling of accomplishment before even getting into the water.

A quick and peaceful 20-minute boat ride across glassy seas to carefully selected dive sites is all that remains. Once at the selected site and kitting up as the sun just breaks the horizon, the real excitement starts to sink in!

Back rolling into the eerie dark water, your eyes automatically begin scanning the ocean floor for the dark shadows we have gone searching for.

It is quite common that during the initial few minutes of the dive the first Bull Shark sighting occurs. We think the commotion of the boat and divers entering the water brings these sharks in for a closer look.

Diving along a wall armed with torches drifting with the current, the sightings are unpredictable.

The guides are on their toes looking back and forth, up and down searching for any hints of the pelagics swimming close by. You will see the guide's eyes widen when a small school of Rainbow Runner swims by as this is a sure sign that a shark is close by.

Other incredible sightings on these early morning dives have included monster Dogtooth Tuna and large schools of Chevron Barracuda swimming off in the blue.

The last 20 minutes of the dive can be, and often is, the most rewarding part of the dive.

Initiating the ascent from 15m down, this part of the dive entails swimming out off of the wall into the blue, taking your time, doing several stops and observing what comes by.

Sailfish, Wahoo, Bull Sharks, Silvertip Sharks and small schools of Hammerheads have been previously spotted whilst spending your safety stop in mid-water.

Scuba diving with Blue Safari Seychelles is a highlight for all of our guests, no matter the time of day, but there is something extra special about the early morning dives as the underwater world awakens.
